Thad began his post-law school career in New York City at the medium-sized law firm, London Fischer LLP, where he worked on behalf of insurance companies to defend insurance claim litigation, including lawsuits involving defective traffic lights, property damage, and personal injury, as well as complex insurance and reinsurance issues, including issues relating to the destruction of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.

Thad subsequently joined his parents (Molly and Toby) at their bankruptcy law practice, Bartholow & Bartholow, and he has been with the firm, practicing exclusively bankruptcy and consumer law ever since. Thad regularly appears in court on behalf of his clients and is not afraid to bring lawsuits against mortgage companies and debt collectors, among others, to ensure that his clients are treated fairly and with dignity as they navigate the bankruptcy process.

Thad earned his B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Texas at Austin in 1998.  And his J.D. at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in NYC in 2002. Thad also graduated from Max Gardner’s Bankruptcy Boot Camp and     Ultimate Litigation Bootcamp in 2008.
