Nice Things

People really do say the nicest things.

Ever since I started Mandelman Matters here on ML-Implode, the response has been off the map!  I didn’t publish any of the incredible emails I receive up until now, because I felt a little uncomfortable with the whole “self-promotional” thing.  But… I’ve been convinced that I should, so you’ll find some of my readers here writing to me and saying the nicest things.

My readers are the best in the world… they’re smart, they care, they’re deeply committed to doing the right thing, and they love what this country stands for even when they disagree with how things are going.

I appreciate every single reader.  They trust me and I take that trust very seriously.  I’ve spoken with hundreds of them and hope to speak with thousands in the years to come… Thank you for reading Mandelman Matters.

And yes… for the skeptics, every single letter below is 100% REAL…

Mr. Mandelman… I cannot begin to tell you how much I appreciate what you are doing! Every time I read your work I get chills-good ones!  There is so much truth in what you write that the average American just doesn’t have access to, or refuses to believe… it’s a travesty really!  I just wanted you to know that I sincerely appreciate all you stand for and speak out about.  So, thank you Mr. Mandelman! Thank you!

You have touched so many lives and tender hearts with your words I thought I would share mine. By no means are they perfect, but they are mine and they have meaning. Thank you for all you have been to so many… you are appreciated greatly.

Just wanted to drop you a line to thank you so much for all your time and effort on behalf of someone you don’t even know.  I really appreciate the fact that you called last night and took time with me as well as giving me some guidance by referring me to an attorney. Again, thank you so much for everything… I’ll let you know how things go.

I recently read a post in which you listed the names of four loan modification firms to whom you would refer individuals for assistance. I remember two names, Litchney Law Firm and Mortgage Relief Center. I can’t locate that post and I can’t remember the other two names. Can you provide a link to your post? Also do you know anything about the loss mitigation firm, Green Credit Law Center? Thanks. I really enjoy reading your blog!

Thank you for being about the only voice representing people who, I believe, have been set up like bowling pins by the bankers. Thank you for all your articles and for standing for so many people who are really not getting the help they need.  It’s criminal what is taking place. A farce!  At least you are out there speaking up for us!  Thank you.

I am actually quite a fan. You remind me a little of PJ O’Rourke, whom I think is quite funny in an ironically accurate and enlightening way on many political issues.

I appreciate your column. Thank you for taking the time to educate us and keep us informed on laws and regulations that you see possibly affecting our business.

Hi Martin… I know you are a busy person, but I wanted to touch base and thank you for the referral to Shah Peerally.  I met with him Monday morning and he then introduced me to a couple different people on his team that I have been working with (getting paperwork lined up, etc.).  I had another meeting with their office today to take care of some more paperwork.  I really feel so much more confident now that something may get done with our two lenders; I know there are no guarantees, but I feel great working with this group…

I read the article and heart wrenching posts from all of these homeowners receiving no help, just lip service from their mortgage providers….Please forward this to Congress and make these folks aware of what is really going on here….well done.

Awesome man, this is by far the clearest  and most devastating critique of the CARS program I have seen… and I’ve seen a lot of them.

Mr. Andelman, I am a Pre-Kindergarten teacher and the wife of a very experienced Loan Officer. My husband brought the article home for me to read. He loved it and I loved it. Keep up the good work.

I am sending this wonderful article to everyone I know, and personally I think we all should. The general public has NO idea what is going on. I think we each have a responsibility to let our friends and family know that the next time they buy or refinance a property they are going to pay more for a fast and skimpy appraisal, possibly done by an unqualified low-fee appraiser, while the bank and the AMC make out like bandits.  It’s a total scam and since we don’t have a lobbyist, a union or a class action law suit, we need to at least use our voices, our emails and whatever means we can as individuals to get the general public aware of what’s going on. Ultimately, the consumer is the one who gets screwed and last time I checked, we are all consumers. The HVCC, which was supposed to be designed to protect the borrower and the appraiser, is nothing but a wolf in sheep’s clothing.  You don’t need to buy postage folks – email this article to everyone you know and ask them to email it to everyone they know.  And, God bless you Mr. Andelman for your part in the awareness campaign that we should all be involved in!

Kudos again on this month’s tech article…my side is hurting from laughing so hard at your McCain, Lawrence Welk liner!! How in the world do you come up with this stuff…brilliant!

You are the funniest man alive!

# # #

I read your article the other day. It was OUTSTANDING!! Clearly the best depiction of the issue I’ve seen from any writer.

# # #

Great article on owner financing restrictions included in H.R. 1728. Keep up the good work.

Surely my eyes are playing tricks on me………….A rational and coherent voice speaking on mortgage modifications……and in a blog thread, no less. So thank you for pointing out that it is the banks, themselves, who are leading the charge to hamstring modification attorneys and brokers.

What an emotionally charged article I found on your website!  I am new to the loan modification industry, but that was the closest piece written to perfection that I have seen.  My hats off to you!

# # #

First of all, THANK YOU for being an advocate of ethical Loan Modification firms and the business in general.  You have quickly become our beacon in this sea of nonperforming companies, legislative uncertainty and general industry paranoia.

# # #

I appreciate your zeal for protecting the loan mod business. Your fervor comes right through the computer.

# # #

I’m a big fan of your work. Keep up the good work and continue fighting the good fight. Our whole office reads your blog religiously. Thanks.

I just came across your website by accident today, but with that said, no accident just fate…you are an awesome writer and definitely funny too!!

# # #

I just read your webpage on the Loan Modification Fee and boy! You sure said it right!  There is so much to read on your site, looking forward to reviewing and keeping you in my favorites!

# # #

I’m sitting in my backyard catching up on linked in discussion feeds I receive week in and week out from the 45 groups I belong to and a link to your blog catches my eye.

# # #

I’ve just spent the last 45 minutes reading, laughing and almost crying after the review of a few stories American loan modification clients are going through.

# # #

I just wanted to say thank you!!!  I just finished reading your article on the Niche Report website, and as a professional in the Loan Modification Private Sector determined to help homeowners keep their home I want to let you know that I appreciate you taking the time to uncover the truth. Please keep up the great work!!!

# # #

Thanks so much for your dedication to the loan modification field.  Your articles have provided me with a second voice – a logical backstop – to my thoughts and feelings about this industry and the economic circumstances in general.

# # #

I just finished reading your article, “Pigs, Puppets, & People in Peril: The Curious Campaign Against Loan Modification Firms.”  Without a doubt, that was the best article I have read on this industry. Please let me know where I can send a check to become an individual supporter of what you are trying to do.

Great article. Thanks for showing me that there are some intelligent people out there.

First of all your article and the investigative work you have done is GREATLY appreciated.

Dear BFF, (best friend forever)
I just have to let you know how happy I am I have found your column!  I was thinking I was possibly the only person outraged about this situation, now I have hope – there are two of us!  You tell it EXACTLY like it is, please, please, please keep the information coming. In the mean time, you are sooo funny so I laugh instead of cry.
