Rick Rogers, Esq.
Rick Rogers is a nationally recognized expert in the areas of HAMP, Loan Modification, and NPV analysis. He has lectured and trained attorneys across the country on modification procedures and NPV testing. He has also provided NPV Tests and Expert Affidavits used in foreclosure defense nationwide. And now, it should go without saying, he runs the REST Report.
Rick and I met as roommates. We shared the Riverview Cabin at Max Gardner’s 160 acre ranch in the mountains of North Carolina, while attending Max’s Bankruptcy and Litigation Boot Camp. We got along right away, as we both share more than a passing interest in how people can save their homes from foreclosure by getting their loans modified.
Rick graduated from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law in 1986, and is a member of the Illinois State Bar. He also holds an MBA from Drake University and a BS from Elmhurst College. He is a member of the National Association of Consumer Advocates, the National Association of Bankruptcy Attorneys, and his practice has been devoted exclusively to mortgage default and foreclosure matters since 2003.
Attorney George Olsen heads up the foreclosure defense practice at The Rogers Law Group, which is impressive because not only does he have over twenty years experience in mortgage and foreclosure law, but in addition he actually co-authored the State of Illinois Mortgage Foreclosure Law, was a partner at international law firm, Baker & McKenzie, and is admitted to practice before the Illinois Supreme Court, the Wisconsin Supreme Court and the US Supreme Court. George earned his BS at the University of Illinois, his MA at Chapman College, and his JD at DePaul University College of Law.
Margaret Cahill, another Rogers Law attorney, is a member of the Illinois Real Estate Lawyers Association. She earned her BS from Marquette, her JD from the Chicago-Kent College of Law, and an LLM from Georgetown Law Center. Since 1985, Margaret has practiced in the areas of residential real estate, loan modification, foreclosure defense, and bankruptcy.
Rounding out the team at Rogers Law Group is bankruptcy attorney, Nicholas Zambito. Nick earned his BA from the UNiversity of Michigan and then his JD from Michigan State University College of Law, where he graduated summa cum laude in 2007. He’s a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association. Nick is licensed to practice in the Federal Bankruptcy Courts of both the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois.
Rick and I recently shared the stage as speakers on the topic of HAMP and loan modifications at Max Gardner’s Operation Strike Back, which was held in Las Vegas, Nevada. I thought we made a great team… he’s super smart and experienced, and I’m… well… people say I’m funny. If you call Rogers… make sure you tell him you’re a Mandelman Matters reader and that I said hello.
