Deborah P. Gutierrez
I’ve met Deborah Gutierrez at Max Gardner’s highly specialized UCC seminar. Deborah’s practice today is focused on bankruptcy, foreclosure defense litigation and real estate transactional matters. She has dedicated her practice to assisting homeowners in the foreclosure crisis, because she believes very strongly that homeowners can and should fight back against unscrupulous business practices.
Deborah is a former class action litigator with extensive experience prosecuting consumer class action lawsuits in federal and state courts. She has obtained million-dollar settlements and prides herself a champion of consumer rights. She is also a frequent contributor to legal publications and has published such articles as “In Wyeth, Supreme Court Could Define Implied Federal Preemption” in CAALA’s Advocate Magazine. Plus, she is a native Spanish speaker and performs pro bono work for non-profit organizations in her community.
She did her undergrad at UCLA, and earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from New England School of Law where she was the Current Developments Editor for the New England Journal of International and Comparative Law… and she’s a member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles, Consumer Attorneys of California, the American Association for Justice, and the Mexican American Bar Association.
And I’ve got to tell you that I liked her a lot from the moment I met her… I don’t think there’s any question that she is very sincere and extremely hard working.
